Marching Band

The Marching Band is one of the most visible and beloved arms of the CCDB. Bringing together musicians of varying ages and backgrounds, the marching unit combines musical precision with striking visual pageantry to delight audiences at civic celebrations, festivals, and historic commemorations

Instrumentation & Composition

  • Musicians: Comprises players from the broader concert band, spanning woodwinds, brass, and percussion.

  • Specialist Units: Enhanced by dedicated flag bearers, a powerful marching percussion section, and resonant sousaphones that anchor the rhythm on the move.

Signature Uniform

For show marching and formal parades, the band wears a bright, distinct uniform designed to stand out:

  • Australian-style slouch hats trimmed with vibrant red feathers

  • Long-sleeved white shirts paired with a modern marching-style red vest

  • Classic black trousers
