Serving the community in Music since 1946

For 80 years, the Campbelltown Camden District Band has brought live music, civic pride, and vibrant community spirit to the Macarthur region. Established in 1946, our band has grown alongside our local communities, serving as a musical cornerstone for Campbelltown, Camden, and the surrounding areas for generations.

Our Community & Culture

At our core, we believe music is best shared. Our Band President’s guiding philosophy reflects the heart of our group: you don’t just come to band to play music—you come to play music with friends. We foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where musicians of diverse backgrounds and ages gather to develop their craft, share a laugh, and build lifelong friendships.

We are proud to rehearse and gather in our very own dedicated rehearsal hall—a facility made possible and continuously refurbished through the dedication and fundraising efforts of our members over many years.

What We Do

The band plays an active role in local civic life, community traditions, and collaborative performances across New South Wales and beyond.

  • Civic Pride: Honoring local tradition by leading the musical proceedings and parades for ANZAC Day ceremonies in both Campbelltown and Camden each year.

  • Community Concerts: Presenting dynamic concert programs for local audiences, seasonal celebrations, and civic gatherings throughout the Macarthur region.

  • Special Collaborations: Partnering with regional and international ensembles—from joint concerts with the South West Sydney Orchestras to hosting visiting international groups like the Long Island Youth Orchestra and participating in regional tattoos across NSW.
